I grew up in Mendota, Illinois. A farm community hemmed by corn and soybean fields. When I was twelve, I applied for an artist/writing job at MAD Magazine. The rejection letter hangs framed in my art studio today. My whimsical, cozy fiction and memoir essays are online in literary magazines as well as sixteen books available in print and ebook on Amazon.

I'm an award-winning published digital artist. I am a classically trained fine artist. Apprenticing under the venerable Leon Paquette. Translating these skills into a career filled life of digital art as art director, contract art teacher, and freelance artist. Have galleried my sculptures in St Petersburg then pop-up shows in the warehouse district. I love St Petersburg. Our art community downtown shows around every corner and in any direction. I’ve completed interior murals in TX, LA, IL, FL, and a small one, in a kitchen nook in Oklahoma. My murals add value to a house. A few of them were the deal maker for their sale.

I live in Saint Petersburg with my loving, patient, enabling husband, seven parrots, two dogs, one rabbit, a guinea pig, and two lizards. We're surrounded by a demanding conciliatory flock of barbarian Muscovy ducks and an empirical murder of crows outside. I write stories, feed ducks, paint murals, call mom and dad weekly, stay out of the kitchen for my husband’s sake, and actively suppress urges to do silly things before breakfast.
